[Information] Measures Against Concrete Cracking - 4 Selections -
We will introduce proposals for suppressing cracks caused by drying shrinkage and thermal stress!
Cracks in concrete can occur due to drying shrinkage, temperature stress, or when volume shrinkage is restrained for some reason due to sudden changes in temperature or humidity. Additionally, after construction, cracks can develop due to rebar corrosion caused by concrete carbonation or salt damage, as well as structural cracks resulting from earthquakes or ground subsidence. These cracks not only detract from aesthetics but also lead to functional deterioration, water leakage, and ultimately, partial collapse of the structure. The crack prevention measures introduced in this document are proposals aimed at suppressing cracks caused by drying shrinkage and temperature stress, to be applied during the construction of concrete structures.
