【Scaffolding Construction Achievements】Omorihashi Bridge
No lane restrictions or barges were needed at all! There was almost no impact on road users!
We would like to introduce our construction achievements for the inspection work on the Omorikawa Bridge (Phase 1) (a five-span continuous post-tensioned PC box girder bridge) spanning the Omorikawa River on the Akita Minami Bypass (National Route 7). Due to the presence of a water pipe bridge and Phase 2 on either side of Phase 1, inspections using a bridge inspection vehicle were difficult, which is why we adopted a "rack scaffold." Since the installation spans consist of five spans, we installed one unit on the high water bed and conducted inspection work by moving it from span to span until reaching the opposite bank. When moving over the piers, there was no need for lane restrictions or barges, so there was almost no impact on road users. Additionally, by using brackets to suspend the running rails from the ground cover, we were able to install them without using post-installed anchors. Furthermore, by using a mid-level scaffold, we were able to accommodate a 2.7m change in girder height. *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.
