[Scaffolding Construction Achievements] Nishikubo JCT Ramp Bridge

The main girder was installed with the "rack scaffolding" still in place, allowing for the crane to be set up all at once! Traffic restrictions were minimized!

In the construction of the new West Kubo JCT ramp bridge (3-span continuous steel deck steel box girder bridge), "rack scaffolding" was utilized for the bolted connection of the main girder. The installation of the movable floor and running rails was carried out while the main girder was within the construction yard. Additionally, after moving the movable floor to a location with minimal impact on the new Shonan Bypass (intersection project), dismantling was performed. By adopting these construction methods, it became possible to minimize traffic restrictions on the new Shonan Bypass for the installation and dismantling of scaffolding. 【Overview】 ■ Location/Prefecture: Kanagawa Prefecture ■ Client: NEXCO Central Japan ■ Construction Company: Mitsubishi-Komai Joint Venture ■ Start Date of Use: May 2011 ■ Experience of local workers in rack scaffolding installation: First time ■ Presence of rack scaffolding handling instructor: Yes *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
