We will be exhibiting at the "Decarbonization Management EXPO Spring" held at Tokyo Big Sight from February 28 (Wednesday) to March 1 (Friday), 2024. This exhibition is Japan's largest specialized exhibition for decarbonization management, showcasing all kinds of decarbonization solutions, including zero-carbon consulting, renewable energy power, self-consumption solar power, energy management systems, and energy-saving equipment. Fujigas will present under the theme, "Are you hedging risks with electrification? - Sustainable disaster prevention with carbon-neutral LP gas," highlighting the importance of resilience (especially in power outage measures) in a decarbonized society and showcasing solutions to related challenges. This is a notification regarding the application support for the "Energy-saving Equipment Introduction and Operational Improvement Support Project for Zero Emission" conducted by Tokyo Metropolitan Government. For corporations in Tokyo considering "replacing equipment" or "wanting to reduce running costs with energy-saving equipment," we would like to inform you about the subsidies available through the "Energy-saving Equipment Introduction and Operational Improvement Support Project for Zero Emission." Subsidies will be provided for expenses related to the introduction of energy-saving equipment or operational improvements (design costs, equipment costs, construction costs). At the &LPG EXPO 2023, under the theme "Understanding the Present of &LPG and Considering the Future," there will be exhibitions of actual equipment such as generators and parasol heaters, presentations of advanced cases using LP gas, exhibition booths themed around carbon neutrality, resilience, DX, and GX, as well as seminars aimed at contemplating the future of LP gas. Additionally, a business contest final aimed at university students will be held on the day of the event to create opportunities for young people to learn about LP gas. Fujigas has started selling "Fujigas Carbon Neutral LP Gas" (hereinafter referred to as "FCN-LPG"), which fully offsets the greenhouse gases generated during the combustion of LP gas. LP gas is used in about 40% of households across Japan, with nearly 100% coverage of the country, playing an extremely important role as an energy source for civilian use. However, it inevitably emits greenhouse gases during combustion. To address this, Fujigas has introduced a method of carbon offsetting by converting the greenhouse gases absorbed through the management and conservation activities of Japan's valuable forest resources into carbon credits and granting those credits. Moving forward, until the development of green LP gas progresses, we plan to promote the sale of LP gas utilizing carbon credits derived from domestic forests and other sources, starting with this initiative. In the future, we will also work on credit development through our own afforestation activities, actively contributing to the realization of a sustainable society. Note: The greenhouse gases generated from the consumption (combustion) of LP gas have been offset using carbon credits.
