Mitsui Home Component Co., Ltd. held a seminar on "Disaster-Resistant Wooden Mid- to High-Rise Buildings" on July 24, 2019 (Wednesday) from 14:00 to 16:00 at TKP Garden City PREMIUM Kyobashi. We discussed the current approaches and key points regarding mid- to high-rise wooden buildings, future initiatives, and introduced the analysis of actual buildings using wallstat, with the keyword being the "visualization" of seismic performance. On the day of the event, 27 participants from 18 companies, including design offices and general contractors, attended. Although the presentations were highly specialized, everyone actively participated in each session.
