Original tie-down system designed to enhance the strength of shear walls in mid-rise buildings.
"Rodman" is a new original tie-down system that replaces traditional hold-down hardware to prevent the overturning of shear walls, responding to the high-strength requirements of shear walls in mid-rise buildings. In wooden mid-rise buildings, enormous uplift forces can occur on shear walls, which may exceed the capacity of existing hold-down hardware. This system was developed to address such significant uplift forces. 【Features】 - By transmitting the uplift forces of each floor directly to the foundation through tie rods, the hardware for each floor can be miniaturized. - The use of high-strength rods allows for a reduction in rod diameter, thereby decreasing the weight and volume of the hardware. - The system can accommodate up to 10mm of movement in response to building shrinkage. *For more details, please contact us.*
