The "New Child and Child-Rearing Support System (Sukusuku Japan!)" aimed at expanding the quantity and improving the quality of school education and childcare for infants and toddlers, as well as community child-rearing support, started in April 2015. One aspect of this system is the "Employer-Managed Childcare Project," which will provide subsidies for the establishment and operation of childcare facilities for employees starting from the fiscal year 2016. The Cabinet Office has accelerated the goals for the development of childcare facilities based on the plan to eliminate waiting lists for children, moving the deadline to the end of fiscal year 2017, and by establishing the "Employer-Managed Childcare Project," further development of childcare facilities will be pursued. Local governments have begun accepting applications for subsidies to promote the establishment of employer-managed childcare facilities. When a company tries to utilize a part of its facility for childcare, one of the issues that arises is related to water supply and drainage. This is because childcare facilities are required to have a kitchen and restrooms.
