【Examples of ZEROSAI Implementation】 NEXCO: Utilizing pinpoint forecasts at road construction sites to avoid the dangers of sudden heavy rain! Achieving weather digital transformation (DX) using ICT!
We will introduce a case study of the natural disaster prevention system ZEROSAI (NETIS registration number QS-150021-VE). It can be utilized not only for safety measures but also for creative ideas and technical proposals. Challenges on Site: Key Points in Evaluation [Operating Environment] - Install the [N Sensor] on site to conduct real-time observations of rain, wind, temperature, and humidity. Additionally, set up a [Web Camera] to check the construction site conditions from the site office and staff smartphones. Since there is no power supply on site, a solar power generation system will be installed. [Purpose of Implementation] - In the event of a sudden heavy rain during construction, rapid on-site response becomes difficult, so it is necessary to avoid risks such as sediment runoff and landslides in advance. - Sediment runoff can also adversely affect the quality of cut and fill, so it is essential to predict heavy rain occurrences in advance and take countermeasures. ■ Proposal (Example) For more details, please download the PDF.

Construction DX! 【Examples of Technical Proposal Utilization】 ○○ Port Quay Wall Improvement Project Marine Works Wave Height Management Technical Proposal Creativity and Innovation ICT Remote Monitoring
Centralized management of wave height predictions and observations in the cloud ■Challenges on site: Key points for evaluation (Example) "The construction area has no barriers, so there are concerns that swells may arrive quickly when the east wind starts blowing, leading to work stoppages. Furthermore, during nighttime construction, the surrounding conditions cannot be visually confirmed, and if work is conducted based solely on general sea condition information, the judgment to stop work may be delayed, making it difficult for the work fleet to retreat." ■Proposal (Example) Weather and sea condition comprehensive portal site Compass PLUS (NETIS registration number QSK-210001-VE) Buoy-type small wave height observation device Digi-Jellyfish (NETIS registration number QSK-170002-VE) will be introduced. Digi-Jellyfish will be installed at the construction site to observe significant wave heights. The data will be viewed on a dedicated website, Compass PLUS, using a 4G connection. Observation data will be displayed along with forecast data in a consolidated manner on PC or tablet via Compass PLUS. If wave heights exceeding the reference value are observed or predicted, an emergency email will be automatically sent to the responsible person. [Examples of Utilizing Technical Proposals] New Civil Engineering Works for Facility Construction on 〇〇 Island DX Guerrilla Rainstorms Linear Precipitation Belts Creativity and Ingenuity
Sudden Guerrilla Rainstorms: Measures Against Linear Precipitation Zones ■Challenges on Site: Key Focus Points for Evaluation Example: "○○ Island has a subtropical climate and is occasionally hit by sudden guerrilla rainstorms. How can we implement daily weather measures to detect heavy rain in advance and take preemptive actions?" ■Example of Proposal Introduce the Natural Disaster Prevention System ZEROSAI (NETIS Registration Number QS-150021-VE). Install the [N Sensor] on-site. Utilize the [Disaster Prevention Panel] to grasp real-time weather data and pinpoint weather forecast information with a 500m mesh, enabling early work stoppage and preemptive measures. ■Effects of Implementation For example, with the [Disaster Prevention Panel], it is possible to monitor the rain volume at the site one hour ahead, updated every five minutes, along with the approach of thunderclouds 10km away. This information can be integrated with business chat for notifications. Additionally, by utilizing telephone consultation services with meteorologists, more detailed weather information can be obtained and used for project management. Example: By using the [N Sensor] installed at the construction site to acquire real-time data, it is possible to understand rainfall forecast information from one hour to a maximum of ten days ahead based on actual measurement data and weather data held by Sysmet. This enables rapid response and organization even outside of working hours and on holidays.

【Useful Information】Are you misunderstanding how to read typhoon information?
During the rainy season in June, in addition to the rain, typhoons also occur, and I believe you are considering the necessity of measures while looking at the forecast paths. Do you know the correct way to read the typhoon path maps that you often look at? Many people mistakenly think that the size of the forecast circle represents "the scale of the typhoon." The size of the forecast circle indicates "the accuracy of the typhoon path prediction." A smaller circle means "less deviation in the path prediction," while a larger circle indicates "greater deviation in the path prediction." The forecast circle shows "the area where the center of the typhoon is likely to be." Moreover, just predicting the typhoon's path does not provide information on how much rain will actually fall and when, or whether linear precipitation bands will occur. Customers using Sysmet's products can receive consulting services from experienced meteorologists for free! In addition to typhoon path predictions, you can receive a wide range of consulting over the phone regarding impacts on work areas. Please make use of this service!
