Siding material "Obisugi (Obi cedar) OB3P/OB3P-B"
Long-term drying retains weather-resistant components and enhances durability. The rough finish quickly releases the moisture contained.
The siding material "Obi Cedar OB3P/OB3P-B" is an exterior wall material with a thickness of 18mm that enhances corrosion resistance by adopting "PAD drying," which slowly dries the wood over a long period, preventing the release of weather-resistant components of Obi cedar. The joint area is designed to be easy to handle and strong against the expansion and contraction of wood. It features a rough finish that allows for quick moisture release absorbed from rain. OB3P is a design variation of OB6P. By creating a decorative groove of the same size as the joint in the center with a working width of 123mm, it gives the appearance of being half the width while maintaining the same construction effort. The specifications, including thickness and joint shape, are unified with OB6P, allowing for mixed designs of both. 【Specifications (partial)】 Working width: 123mm Thickness: 18mm Length: 3,900mm Processing: Rough surface finish, tongue and groove processing Packaging: 6 pieces/bundle *For more details, please refer to the materials. basic information
What is Obi Cedar? In the southeastern part of Kyushu, in Nishi-Nippon City, Miyazaki Prefecture, where the Kuroshio Current from the equator flows, the cedar produced here has unique properties and is widely used as "Obi Cedar." Historically, it was used for shipbuilding materials, and now it is utilized in a wide range of applications from structural elements to decorative finishes in buildings. Its durability has recorded excellent test results, and locally, you can still see unpainted decks made from about 20-year-old wood created for public works being used without any issues near the water's edge close to the estuary. *For more details, please refer to the materials.
