Mitsui Home is pleased to announce the launch of our unique wooden construction technology brand "MOCX," which encompasses our proprietary wooden construction techniques. Recently, the option of "wooden construction" has been increasing in various buildings in towns where steel frame and reinforced concrete structures have been mainstream. Our company aims to align with the current trends towards achieving a decarbonized society, establishing a collective name for the unique technologies we have cultivated in wooden construction, further developing these technologies, and expanding the possibilities of wooden architecture to promote wooden construction in various fields.

Shigaki Design Co., Ltd. Category/Field: Lifestyle Design Category, Architecture/Space Field (Office/Conference Facilities) Total Floor Area: 947.31 m² Design: Shigaki Design Co., Ltd. Construction: Sanwa E-Tech Co., Ltd. ーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーー This is the new headquarters of Mitsui Home Co., Ltd. Kumamoto Branch, facing the corner of Kencho-dori, a symbol of Kumamoto. It features a spacious atrium with a curtain wall and is a large three-story wooden building constructed using the rare two-by-four method in Kumamoto. In addition to being used as an office, it also serves as a venue for business discussions, equipped with a gallery and design center. Mitsui Home Component Co., Ltd. held a seminar on "Disaster-Resistant Wooden Mid- to High-Rise Buildings" on July 24, 2019 (Wednesday) from 14:00 to 16:00 at TKP Garden City PREMIUM Kyobashi. We discussed the current approaches and key points regarding mid- to high-rise wooden buildings, future initiatives, and introduced the analysis of actual buildings using wallstat, with the keyword being the "visualization" of seismic performance. On the day of the event, 27 participants from 18 companies, including design offices and general contractors, attended. Although the presentations were highly specialized, everyone actively participated in each session.
