[Construction Industry News] Act One Yamaiti reduces work time by 20% with metal-compatible RFID.
The application of metal-compatible RFID to lightweight temporary equipment such as scaffolding has achieved operational efficiency. ◆ Introduction of "Equipment Management System Utilizing Metal-Compatible RFID" On September 11, Dai Nippon Printing Co., Ltd. announced that its "Equipment Management System Utilizing Metal-Compatible RFID" has been implemented by Act One Yamaiichi Co., Ltd., a rental company for lightweight temporary construction equipment. During a five-month trial period, the system reduced the time for inbound and outbound operations and inspections by approximately 20% compared to conventional methods. Typically, RFID communication distance decreases when attached to metal, but this system utilizes UHF band metal-compatible RFID. By applying metal-compatible RFID to lightweight temporary equipment such as scaffolding, multiple RFIDs can be read simultaneously. Additionally, by capturing the product codes printed on the RFID with an app, it can be integrated with the equipment management system. Furthermore, the system is designed to be highly durable, making it usable even in harsh environments such as construction sites and high-pressure washing processes. *For more information, please refer to the related product information below.

Scaffolding Column | What is Formwork Support? Explaining the Differences and Types Compared to Scaffolding
"Scaffolding Column" from a long-established temporary equipment manufacturer with over 70 years of history. At Chuo Built Industry, we provide accurate knowledge and information about scaffolding to contribute to safety and efficiency at construction sites. Please use this for knowledge review, self-improvement, and in-house training. <What is Formwork Support? Explanation of Differences and Types Compared to Scaffolding> While construction technology has existed for a long time, it has seen remarkable development in Japan since the late 19th century. A key factor in this development was the production of cement in domestic factories. Previously, cement was imported from overseas, but once it became possible to supply cement domestically, many buildings using concrete began to be constructed. Concrete is characterized by its high strength, but it has a weakness in tensile stress. To address this weakness, "reinforced concrete," which incorporates steel bars into the concrete, is used in large-scale buildings. To use this convenient building material, formwork is necessary to pour the concrete. In this article, we will explain formwork support, which is essential for concrete work. Please see below for the continuation.
