The "SS Small Method," which has an overcutting function, rapidly mixes high-concentration mud water containing a large amount of excavated soil and clogging material sprayed onto the face in a chamber, creating a thick, high-concentration stable liquid. By pressurizing and filling the face and tail voids, this method achieves high stability of the face and is based on the concept of "stabilizing liquid methods" such as underground continuous soil retaining wall methods and reverse circulation methods. 【Features】 - By filling and pressurizing the tail void with high-concentration mud, the resistance value on the outer surface of the pipe is reduced, enabling long-distance propulsion. - Due to the favorable pressure balance provided by the high-concentration mud, the impact on the ground is extremely low compared to other construction methods. It can accommodate a wide range of soil types, from soft ground to boulder layers. - The discharge method utilizes the pressure difference and the fluidity of the high-concentration mud from the face to inside the machine, and from inside the machine to outside the tunnel, it transports the slurry using a vacuum suction device. - The standard machine can fully take in boulders and can handle sizes up to 1/3 of the nominal diameter. The boulder crushing type can accommodate boulders up to approximately 100% of the nominal diameter. - It is capable of ultra-sharp curve propulsion with a radius of about 15 meters. - Long-distance propulsion of approximately 500 meters can be achieved with just the thrust. - The compact propulsion equipment allows for construction in narrow temporary yards. - It requires almost no auxiliary methods except for starting and reaching the destination. - By adopting a segmented recovery and small shaft starting type, it enables construction in locations where large shaft construction is difficult and allows for reaching existing structures.
