Crosswing Column Method for Factory Construction | Geotech

Stable operation of equipment with high-precision ground reinforcement obtained through GBRC performance certification.

In factory construction, a solid foundation that supports the stable operation of large equipment and precision machinery is essential. Ground subsidence and differential settlement can lead to significant risks such as decreased equipment performance, malfunctions, and even production line shutdowns. Therefore, ensuring the quality of the ground and maintaining long-term stability is extremely important. The Cross-Wing Column Method is a slurry-based mechanical mixing deep mixing treatment method that has obtained the Building Technology Performance Certification (GBRC Performance Certification) from the Japan Architectural Institute Foundation. It achieves reliable ground reinforcement through stable mixing performance that is not affected by soil quality. [Usage Scenarios] - Installation sites for large manufacturing equipment - Areas for installing precision machinery - Locations susceptible to vibrations and loads - Factory sites requiring long-term stable operation [Benefits of Implementation] - Realization of stable operation by suppressing equipment subsidence - Reduction of production line shutdown risks - Contribution to the longevity of equipment - Control of maintenance costs

Applications/Examples of results

It is suitable for sandy soil, clayey soil, and loam as applicable ground, making it ideal for ground reinforcement measures for a wide variety of structures such as buildings, retaining walls, and other constructions. It can be widely adapted to small-scale buildings that meet all conditions, including mid-rise buildings, iron towers, various structures, and those with three stories or fewer above ground, a maximum height of 13 meters, a eave height of 9 meters or less, and a total floor area of 500 m² or less, as well as retaining walls that are 3.5 meters or lower. Depending on the site conditions, construction machinery (10-ton and 15-ton class) and plants can be selected from small to large sizes, allowing for flexible construction results that are not affected by narrow sites or adjacent environments. Depending on the ground conditions, it is possible to propose shortening construction periods and reducing costs by supporting at depths shallower than that of bearing piles.
