[For Infrastructure] RES-P Method Ground Reinforcement Work | Geotec Co., Ltd.

Flat ground reinforcement method for obtaining architectural technical performance certification.

In the field of infrastructure, ensuring the long-term stability and safety of structures is essential. In particular, improving earthquake resistance against natural disasters such as earthquakes is crucial for maintaining social infrastructure. Ground subsidence and differential settlement can compromise the overall stability of structures and lead to a decrease in seismic performance. Our RES-P method is a ground reinforcement technique that has obtained certification for architectural technical performance, contributing to the suppression of subsidence in structures on soft ground. 【Usage Scenarios】 - Ground reinforcement during the construction or renovation of infrastructure structures - Ground improvement for enhancing seismic performance - Stabilization of structures on soft ground 【Effects of Implementation】 - Improved stability through the suppression of structural subsidence - Contribution to the maintenance and enhancement of seismic performance - Reduction of long-term infrastructure maintenance management costs

basic information

【Features】 - This method has obtained a construction technology performance certification (Performance Evaluation No. 04-02). - It enhances bearing capacity through the combined action of the ground and the pipes by driving slender steel pipes into soft ground. - It is classified as a ground reinforcement method that involves densely placing pipes on flat ground. - Design, construction, and supervision are centralized, ensuring reliable quality management. - The slender steel pipes used are treated for rust prevention, considering long-term durability. 【Our Strengths】 Geotech provides "total ground services," offering a one-stop solution for all ground-related tasks, including ground surveys and reinforcement design/construction for new buildings (from general construction to single-family homes), settlement correction work for existing buildings, soil contamination surveys, and ground information services. With extensive experience and proven technology, we create the future of cities from the ground up.

Applications/Examples of results

It is optimal for reinforcing the foundation ground of small-scale buildings, boasting a rich track record of over 60,000 improvement projects to date. The application range is limited to buildings with three stories or fewer above ground, a height of 13 meters or less, and a total floor area of 1,500 m² or less. The foundation structure can be applied to slab foundations with a long-term design load of 80 kN/m² or less, or strip foundations with 50 kN/m² or less. As practical examples of achievements, it demonstrates outstanding advantages in sites where no waste soil is generated due to non-excavation construction, eliminating disposal costs; sites that can be handed over to the next process immediately with zero curing time; and tight construction projects in narrow areas or near retaining walls, leveraging low vibration and low noise specifications.
