Ground Reinforcement Work for Public Facility Construction | Tiger Pile Method | Geotech

Ground reinforcement for obtaining performance certification of building technology that contributes to longevity.

In the construction of public facilities, long-term stability and durability are required. In particular, the effects of ground subsidence and earthquakes are important issues for the longevity of the facilities. If these challenges cannot be addressed, it may hinder the safety and functionality of the facilities, leading to an increased frequency of renovations or rebuilds. The Tiger Pile Method by Geotech Co., Ltd. has obtained architectural technology performance certification and contributes to the longevity of public facilities. 【Usage Scenarios】 - New construction and renovation of public facilities requiring stable support over the long term - Construction of facilities in earthquake-prone areas - When there is a desire to reduce the risk of ground subsidence 【Benefits of Implementation】 - Ensuring long-term stability of the facilities - Reducing the impact on structures during earthquakes - Contributing to the reduction of maintenance costs

basic information

【Features】 - This is a soil-cement column method that has obtained the Building Technology Performance Certification (GBRC Performance Certification No. 06-12 Revision 4). - It is a hybrid method that combines the material strength of steel pipe piles with the frictional force of column methods. - The core material effect enhances resistance to bending and shear forces during earthquakes. - Even if localized solidification issues occur, the impact is minimized. - It has a wide range of applicable ground conditions and demonstrates high bearing capacity. 【Our Strengths】 Geotech provides "total ground services," handling everything related to ground, from ground surveys and ground reinforcement design and construction to settlement correction work for existing buildings and soil contamination investigations, all in a one-stop service. With extensive experience and reliable technology, we offer optimal solutions tailored to our customers' needs, supporting the future of urban development.

Applications/Examples of results

It can be applied to ground reinforcement measures for a wide range of buildings and structures. Even in highly soft ground or in humus land where solidification issues due to organic matter are likely to occur, making conventional soil column design difficult, it enables reliable design and planning by considering the material strength of the core material (60 to 400 kN). When compared to general methods under the same ground conditions, the improvement length can be significantly shortened due to high load-bearing capacity, reducing the amount of improved soil, solidification materials (cement-based solidifying agents), and generated residual soil to about one-fourth or less (design example: 27 columns, improved soil volume 37.11 m³ → 8.97 m³, solidification material 12 t → 3.5 t, residual soil volume 7.4 m³ → 1.8 m³). It has demonstrated excellent economic efficiency and environmental performance, achieving shortened construction periods and reductions in CO2 and exhaust gases from construction equipment.
