Ground reinforcement work | Achieving cost reduction and safety with high-support-capacity small-diameter steel pipe piles.

The high-support capacity small-diameter steel pipe pile method achieves no soil displacement construction and cost reduction. A thorough quality control system prevents uneven settlement of important buildings in advance.

This proposal is a ground reinforcement solution using small-diameter steel pipe piles to ensure the long-term structural safety of buildings. To prevent uneven settlement and tilting of structures caused by insufficient ground bearing capacity, we will propose an optimal reinforcement plan based on thorough preliminary ground surveys. The small-diameter steel pipe pile method is a technique that involves rotating and driving a steel pipe equipped with a special enlarged base wing at its tip, and since it does not use cement solidifiers, it generates no construction waste, allowing for significant reductions in disposal costs. Additionally, the low-noise and low-vibration construction is gentle on the surrounding environment and soil, enabling smooth work completion even in densely populated urban areas or narrow sites. With a wide variety of pile diameters and clear support capacity calculation formulas, we achieve rational foundation design that accommodates a broad range of geological conditions. At Geotech, we adhere to ISO quality management systems, ensuring real-time monitoring on-site and comprehensive management of all processes by qualified personnel. With reliable technology and a rigorous inspection system, we firmly support the safety of our clients' valuable assets and buildings.

basic information

This construction method uses general structural carbon steel pipes with an outer diameter of φ89.1mm to φ216.3mm, featuring a specification that incorporates disc-shaped enlarged wings or drilling auxiliary bits at the tip. The applicable targets are small-scale buildings with three stories or fewer, a height of 13m or less, and a total floor area of 1,500 square meters or less, as well as retaining walls and structures with a height of 3.5m or less. The maximum construction depth can accommodate up to 130 times the pile diameter (up to a maximum of 19.2m, etc.) and is suitable for various ground conditions such as sandy soil, clayey soil, and loam layers. It has obtained public performance certification, allowing for safe design based on a clear bearing capacity calculation formula derived from SWS test results.

Applications/Examples of results

It is ideal for foundation ground reinforcement work in small-scale buildings such as detached houses, apartments, and stores. Due to the non-disposal rotary penetration method that does not use cement milk, it is particularly suitable for sites where there is a desire to reduce residual soil disposal costs and for construction in areas where environmental conservation is required. Additionally, its low noise and low vibration design makes it effective for foundation work in densely populated residential areas or narrow sites where buildings are in close proximity. Furthermore, it is widely used for supporting structures such as retaining walls, culverts, and sign foundations, and is introduced to prevent differential settlement accidents in advance.
